Staying at ‘Batman’s Hill on Collins‘ for a few nights because its in the Melbourne CBD and Pam wants to shop here way down Collins Street. Batmans Hill is down the West End (Docklands and Telstra Dome) and she plans to walk (shop) her way to the Paris End (Parliament Train Station) then I think it will be a Tram back down Collins Street.

Batmans Hill on Collins is a 4 Star ‘Quality Hotel’ in the Melbourne CBD. It has 190 hotel rooms, the apartments are 4 star and the standard rooms are 3 and a half star. I really like this hotel because I can feel and smell the first class experience without having to pay for it. I booked us into the very affordable Standard Room which has all the essentials for me (TV, In-house movies and in-room internet access) and all the essentials for Pam (Close to Shops).

Doug’s Review
This is luxury I can afford (just over $100) and the hotel has a great cafe and restaurant. Internet Access is a must for me and I have it right inside the room here. The Telstra Dome is close but I will actually be attending the footy matches at the MCG this weekend so we will be moving tomorrow, but I have already secured some accommodation here that coincides with the Telstra Dome Football Matches that I am planning to attend.

Mmmm… Collins Street. Mmmm… Shopping. The Batemans Hill on Collins St is close to my shopping Mecca with the CBD, Bourke Street Mall on one side and The DFO (Direct Factory Outlets) Mall on the other side – actually its right across the road – between those two I have all the shops and arcades running directly off Collins St. Batemans Hill also has 2 restaurants and 2 bars all with a great luxury feel.

Got this very luxury feeling hotel room for just $114 and we got a $20 Food and Beverage voucher, so Pam figures that she saved us $142 (2 nights) and gets to spend that because I wanted to go straight to a hotel right near the MCG and pay premium prices because I had left it too the last minute.
