Round 17 – Hawks vs The Cats – MCG

Hawthorn vs Geelong – MCG – 25th of July 2008

This is set to be an awesome footy game at the MCG, Glad I got my tickets early as all public tickets for this blockbuster match between Hawthorn and Geelong have been sold out. Will the Hawks be the team to do The Cats. Either way I am so looking forward to this game, being my first of 3 footy games I’m going to go to this weekend. Also Hawthorn is my 2nd favorite team I support. West Coast being my first, and how crap are they this year.

Hawthorn

Hawks are having their best year in awhile this year. They have won the last 3 out of 5 games – Go The Hawks!!!

Geelong

Once again The Cats are having a cracker of a year. Last years Premiers, will they do it again this year. They have won their last 5 games – But have lost the last 3 against the Hawthorn. Go The Hawks!!!

The last 3 times these 2 footy teams played – The Hawks have won by 52 points ; 61 points & the most rescently by 4 points.

I love me footy. Even if my teams aren’t playing. I still enjoy watching other footy teams play and especially seeing it live at the MCG, The Dome or Skilled Stadium. Go the Aussie Rules!

In Melbourne for the Footy

I do this every year – for 3 months – but this is the first year that I will be blogging about it. I am from Busselton in Western Australia and slightly obsessed with my AFL Football. Luckily I have built my business up to a point where I can take 3 months off every year at the peak of the Melbourne Footy Season.

My wife Pam comes with me and I am hoping to convince her to blog here about her Melbourne Shopping Adventures. Its blooming freezing today so she is busy devising a plan to buy a Melbourne Winter Coat.

Pam’s priorities are certainly in the right place, as we haven’t yet found our accommodation for tonight. I would like to be right on the doorstep of the MCG this weekend. So I am using an online Melbourne Accommodation Guide (great fast search features) to help me decide as they have a great search shortcut for Football Accommodation Melbourne.

My Footy schedule for this weekend is:

So you can see why finding MCG Accommodation in Melbourne is a priority today as I have a gammy leg and don’t like to walk to far (which we always seem to do in Melbourne).
